In the collective imaginary, the concept of digital transformation is associated with developments of complex algorithms, artificial intelligence and robotics. However, being part of this revolution is simpler than it is believed. In our case as ManageEngine (business division of Zoho Corp) we find that our story is in itself, an interesting example of a digital transformation journey that after 25 years is still on its way

DX is a journey

This is the first conclusion: digital transformation is not a destination. It’s a journey. A journey that makes use of the objectives and that harmoniously takes place through the evolution of products and services, supported by continuous improvement processes.

A product or service is never finished. Every day there are new trends, new needs and the world of IT in the new normal advances at a dizzying pace. Taking this into account is essential when setting expectations. We cannot expect to reach a final version without a beta version, or without having done the respective tests.

DX is evolution

The second important element that we must take into account is evolution. No solution is complete overnight. It requires processes, trials and even mistakes. The failures confirm that we were not taking the correct path and give us clues as to where we can go. Avoiding failure is nothing more than going nowhere quickly.

Our history of digital transformation is supported by an evolution that has been taking place thanks to the coordinated work of three fundamental elements: technology, organizational culture and human talent.

DX is network thinking

Developing projects in silos is not the best option to start this journey of digital transformation. As each evolves independently, you lose the benefits of collaboration and the power to expand your reach by conceiving other needs.

On the other hand, network development allows teams to make progress considering the needs of other teams, and this collaboration will lead to increasingly comprehensive services and comprehensive value offerings.

Through mutual conversation between teams, we can offer more complete, holistic promises of value, capable of establishing new routes and leading technology trends beyond their initial purpose.

An organic consequence of this work model is the possibility of offering customizable solutions, so that each organization can appropriate this tool and make it part of their progress.

In addition, it can be easily integrated with other tools, since its birth it has been created to interact with other solutions and ‘talk’ with different needs. This achieves a high level of integration that is essential in a hyper-connected world. Thinking in a network allows both equipment and products and services to be naturally integrated into their environment as a result of continuous work and its evolution.

Thanks to the application of this model in ManageEngine we have a complete offer that covers several domains: IT service management, IT operations management, IT cloud management and cybersecurity, among others.
