He has been the General Manager of the Association of Banks and Financial Institutions (ABIF) since July 2019. Previously, he served as the Head of Research for the same association from 2014, Head of Financial Stability at the Central Bank of Chile (2010-2014), and held various positions as a senior economist and financial research coordinator at the Central Bank (2006-2010).

He holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Concepción, a Master’s in Economics from ILADES, and a Ph.D. in Economics from Georgetown University.
