Jaime de los Hoyos Moreno is a doctor from the University of the Andes (2006). His professional career has been focused on the value contribution that information and communications technologies can have on human health, both from the point of view of human capital and skills formation (as a teacher and then head of the Technology in Biomedical Informatics, at Duoc UC) and from the area of ​​health service providers. He has participated and led large processes of implementation of computer solutions of different types (clinical records, departmental systems, etc.) in important institutions, such as Clínica Universidad de los Andes and Red Salud UC CHRISTUS. He currently works as chief physician of the Department of Biomedical Informatics at Clínica Alemana in Santiago, being in charge of the implementation, development and operation of the clinical systems of said institution.

Artificial Intelligence in Health: present and future perspectives

AI has had a great role in the last couple of years with its impact on different aspects, and human health is no exception. However, its application in this area presents particular challenges, given the sensitivity of the information handled in it and the impact of the decisions made using said information. This conference presents an overview of what we are doing today with AI for the benefit of our patients and clinicians, and the perspectives of transformation that the future offers us with the evolution of this technology.
