CLAUDIO ORREGO /

INTENT OF THE METROPOLITAN REGION
PLAN SANTIAGO INTELLIGENT CITY: FROM THE CITY SEGREGATED TO THE INTEGRATED CITY

In his Conference Claudio Orrego will present the plan Santiago City Smart, explain how a smart city is a challenge much greater than the simple incorporation of technology. It implies changing a very ingrained form of planning and developing the city from the insularity, duplicity and autarky of all the organizations that intervene. The great challenge of Santiago is to advance equity and territorial justice, so that all its inhabitants have access to similar levels of quality of life, which can only be achieved from the logics of collaboration between institutions and citizen participation . In this, the strategic use of technology plays a leading role.
